Acceptable Use Policy

AisleCore provides a modular operating platform for CPG brands to manage trade spend, track distribution, reconcile deductions, and analyze retail performance. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") ensures the platform remains secure, reliable, and fair for all customers.

This policy applies to all users, including administrators, team members, and any third parties granted access to an AisleCore account. By using the platform, you agree to abide by this policy in addition to the Terms of Service.

AisleCore is designed for legitimate business purposes in the CPG industry. Permitted uses include:

• Managing and reconciling trade spend, promotions, and deductions
• Tracking distribution coverage, gaps, and broker performance
• Importing and managing SKU catalogs, retailer data, and shipment records
• Generating reports, analytics, and weekly performance digests
• Using the API within documented rate limits for integrations with your other business systems
• Inviting team members and collaborating within your organization
• Exporting your own data for use in other business tools

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

3.1 Reverse Engineering and Unauthorized Access

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code of the platform
• Attempting to access other tenants' data or bypass multi-tenant isolation
• Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the platform without written authorization
• Circumventing or disabling any security features, access controls, or usage limits

3.2 Data Scraping and Extraction

• Scraping, crawling, or using automated tools to extract data from the platform beyond what the API and export features provide
• Systematically downloading or mirroring the platform or its data for use outside your account

3.3 Malicious Content and Conduct

• Uploading files containing malware, viruses, trojans, or any malicious code
• Submitting intentionally corrupted, misleading, or fraudulent data
• Interfering with or disrupting the platform's infrastructure, including denial-of-service attacks

3.4 Credential and Account Misuse

• Sharing login credentials or magic links with unauthorized individuals
• Creating accounts under false identities or for organizations you are not authorized to represent
• Using another user's account without their explicit consent
• Sharing a single account among multiple users to circumvent seat-based licensing

3.5 Illegal and Harmful Purposes

• Using the platform for any purpose that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law
• Using the platform in connection with money laundering, fraud, or deceptive business practices
• Storing, processing, or transmitting data that infringes third-party intellectual property rights

3.6 Excessive API Usage

• Making API requests that exceed documented rate limits or are designed to degrade platform performance
• Using automated scripts that place unreasonable load on platform infrastructure
• Bulk operations that bypass the intended import/export workflows

Each AisleCore subscription tier includes defined limits for SKUs, retailer accounts, team members, and API usage. These limits are detailed on our pricing page and in your subscription agreement.

Fair use principles apply to all shared platform resources:

• API rate limits: Documented per endpoint; exceeding limits will result in temporary throttling (HTTP 429)
• File uploads: Individual files limited to 50 MB; bulk imports processed within documented constraints
• Storage: Reasonable use based on plan tier; we will notify you before taking any action on excessive storage
• Concurrent sessions: Users may have active sessions across multiple devices; automated session farming is prohibited

If your usage consistently exceeds plan limits, we will work with you to identify an appropriate plan upgrade rather than immediately restricting access.

AisleCore monitors platform usage to maintain security, performance, and compliance with this policy. Monitoring includes:

• Automated rate limiting and abuse detection systems
• Audit logging of sensitive operations (data access, role changes, imports, exports)
• Error and performance monitoring via Sentry
• Periodic review of API usage patterns

We do not read or analyze the content of your business data for enforcement purposes. Monitoring focuses on usage patterns, access controls, and system health.

If you believe a user or account is violating this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it immediately:

When reporting, please include:

• Your name and contact information
• Description of the suspected violation with as much detail as possible
• Any evidence or screenshots that support the report
• The approximate date and time of the incident

All reports are treated confidentially. We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.

Violations of this policy may result in the following actions, applied at AisleCore's discretion based on the severity and nature of the violation:

AisleCore reserves the right to take immediate action without prior warning when a violation poses an immediate threat to platform security, other customers, or legal compliance.
